Catherine Cunningham is the visionary behind Natural Intelligence. This website represents a portfolio of her work also in creative collaboration with other very talented artists. This is a resource dedicated to helping humanity connect back to our nature roots and cultural heritage- our Natura Vera.
Catherine is an ecologist, anthropologist, story-teller, entrepreneur, system’s thinker, and futurist. She has worked in purpose-driven communications successfully for over a decade with her company, Eikosphere.LLC – delivering business development concepts, communications designs, interactive experiences, visual exhibitions & multimedia productions to world-class clients, dedicated to speeding and scaling integrated bottom line solutions to global sustainability challenges. Many recent projects have led to the production of purpose-driven films for thought leaders in business and government that resonate with the UN Global Goals and have premiered in significant world forums.
For 20 years, Catherine has travelled, written, photographed, and filmed in 67 countries; interviewed 100’s of thought leaders, and produced/co-produced over a dozen film projects to promote a naturally intelligent, regenerative, clean energy future. Since 2004, she has run Nature’s Reflection Photography, creating with Fine Print Imaging a collection of limited edition prints. Catherine spotlights people living their naturally intelligent truth in their healthy lifestyles and purpose-driven work through her Natural Intelligence Worldwide podcast, articles, and books. Her “Naturally Intelligent by Design” digital book will be available in 2023. She is a writer for Thrive Global and a thought leader on Climate Change and the Nature Agenda @ World Economic Forum. In partnership with the Global Commons Alliance, Eurovision, the UN Climate Champions, and 50 Conservation Organizations; Catherine designed, directed, and executive produced the FIRST Nature’s Newsroom at the UN Climate Change Summit in Scotland, 2022.
On the educational front, Catherine has taught undergraduate and masters courses in purpose-driven corporate communications at Arizona State University; global sustainability at Chapman University, as well, biology, ecology, and botany at Denver State College and Front Range Colleges. In 2016, she designed a first-in-class university course on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals to increase awareness and action on the UN Global Goals. Catherine earned a PhD in Ecosystem Science; studying climate impacts on mountains at ETHZ, Switzerland. She holds a BA in Cultural Anthropology and International Peace Studies from the University of Notre Dame and an MS from Utah State in Ecology. Catherine speaks English and Italian, and is conversant in German and Spanish. She loves creative collaboration, film-making, mountaineering, outdoor sports, yoga, health & wellness, and travel.
