Forest Resolution

I resolve to be like the puzzle grass (Equisetum), a true living fossil, whose ancient and relatively rare regenerative ways (via swimming spores) continue to propagate in Pacific Forest soils and persist across living landscapes. How? They spread deep, extensive rhizome roots and rough silicate-laden stems-poisonous in large quantities to grazers. Root yourself to a community and avoid getting eaten; so you can solve the puzzle grass game of survival, too.
