Future

I am inspired to be my future me like the western gray kangaroo endemic and common to the Australian outback. As many claim these pouch-bearing marsupials can only move forward, they stand proud as the country’s symbol of progress that never looks back. Although he may engage in a kick-box charade to swoon a mate or hop-n-hope from here to there, the kangaroo is more-less balanced in life with his sturdy, thick tail and equaled in parenthood by his pregnant female. We honor today the kangaroo for her joyous jumpy joey disposition, as we mourn the loss of over 480 million in the Australian summer bush fires.

Reflection:

What does a healthy ecosystem look like for the kangaroo?

Challenge:

Search the internet for fire regeneration pictures. Find one that resonates with you. Imagine that same regeneration in your kangaroo’s homeland.
